This e-learning course has been designed to provide a background to GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and to show why data privacy matters. It covers the key definitions, principles and scope of GDPR and how organisations can comply with its requirements. Data Privacy Awareness also highlights the types of personal data people are likely to come into contact within the workplace, and outline what good personal data handling looks like. Above all it shows how to be sensitive with personal data, whilst providing customers with a high level of service.

Modules:
1. Introduction
Covers the aims and objectives of this eLearning course, and provides an introduction to GPDR. This module also explains why data privacy is important, how firms can protect their data and outlines special category data which firms must not divulge.

2. Identifying risks
Highlights where personal data is potentially vulnerable and shows how to limit that risk, both when working in the office and when working off site.

3. Scenarios
This module presents a range of varied workplace scenarios, which show how personal data is gathered and where potential breaches of data privacy can occur.

4. Knowledge check
A quiz requiring an 80% score to pass.

Course duration:
Approximately 30 mins (including quiz), though no time limit set.

Certification:
Your certificate will be available to download as soon as you have passed the end of course quiz.
